Best Season:

Day 01: Kathmandu (1350m) – Chautara (1200m)

You will start your trek from Kathmandu and take a drive to Chautara, which is the headquarters of the Sindhupalchowk district. The drive takes around 5-6 hours and offers beautiful views of the countryside. As you leave Kathmandu, you will pass through several small towns and villages, and you will see terraced fields of crops and traditional houses made of stone and mud.

Once you reach Chautara, you can explore the town and prepare for your trek. Chautara is a small town located on a hill, and it is the starting point for several trekking routes in the region. You can visit the local market and buy any last-minute supplies or equipment that you might need for your trek.

Day 02: Chautara – Phusre (2045m)

From Chautara, you will start your trek to Phusre. The trail passes through lush forests and small villages, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. You will cross several streams and small waterfalls along the way, and you will see locals going about their daily lives, working in the fields or tending to their animals.

The trail is well-defined and easy to follow, and it gradually ascends towards Phusre. You will walk through forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine trees, and you will see different types of birds and animals along the way. It takes around 6-7 hours to reach Phusre, where you can rest and enjoy the scenic beauty.

Day 03: Phusre – Kami Kharka (2845m)

The trail from Phusre to Kami Kharka takes around 5-6 hours and passes through dense forests of rhododendron and oak trees. You will walk on a steep trail that ascends gradually towards Kami Kharka. Along the way, you will see beautiful views of the mountains, and you will cross several streams and small waterfalls.

As you reach higher altitudes, you will start to notice the changes in the landscape and vegetation. The forests will become sparser, and you will see more shrubs and grasses. You may also start to feel the effects of altitude sickness, such as shortness of breath or fatigue. It is important to take it slow and rest as needed.

Day 04: Kami Kharka – Pauwa Bas (3000m)

On this day, you will trek from Kami Kharka to Pauwa Bas, which takes around 5-6 hours. The trail offers stunning views of the mountains and passes through several small villages and farmlands. You will see locals working in the fields or herding their animals, and you will have the opportunity to interact with them and learn about their way of life.

As you approach Pauwa Bas, you will see the landscape change once again. The vegetation will become even sparser, and you will see more rocks and boulders. You may also start to feel the effects of altitude sickness more strongly, so it is important to stay hydrated and rest as needed.

Day 05: Pauwa Bas – Hille Bhanjyang (3400m)

From Pauwa Bas, you will start your trek to Hille Bhanjyang. The trail takes around 4-5 hours and passes through lush forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine trees. You will also cross several small streams and waterfalls along the way. As you climb higher, the views of the surrounding mountains become more and more stunning. Hille Bhanjyang is a popular resting spot for trekkers, and you can relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.

Day 06: Hille Bhanjyang – Nasim Pati (3700m)

From Hille Bhanjyang, you will trek to Nasim Pati. The trail takes around 4-5 hours and passes through beautiful meadows and dense forests. You will also cross several streams and small waterfalls along the way. Nasim Pati is a popular resting spot for trekkers, and you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the area. From here, you can also see the stunning views of the Langtang mountain range.

Day 07: Nasim Pati – PanchPokhara (five lakes) (4100m)

On this day, you will trek from Nasim Pati to PanchPokhara. The trek takes around 3-4 hours and passes through beautiful meadows and rocky terrain. PanchPokhara is a sacred site for Hindus, and it is believed that taking a dip in the five lakes here will wash away one’s sins. The area is surrounded by beautiful mountains and offers stunning views of the Himalayan range. You can also explore the surrounding area and take in the scenic beauty.

Day 08: Rest day at PanchPokhara

You will spend a rest day at PanchPokhara to explore the area and enjoy the scenic beauty. You can take a dip in the lakes or go for a short hike to the nearby hills. The area is also known for its diverse flora and fauna, and you can spot various bird species and animals.

Day 09: PanchPokhara – Nasim Pati (3700m)

From PanchPokhara, you will trek back to Nasim Pati. The trek takes around 3-4 hours and passes through beautiful meadows and dense forests. You can enjoy the scenic beauty of the area once again.

Day 10: Nasim Pati – Dukang (2100m)

On this day, you will trek from Nasim Pati to Dukang. The trek takes around 6-7 hours and passes through dense forests and small villages. You will also cross several streams and waterfalls along the way. As you descend, the views of the surrounding mountains become more and more distant, but the scenic beauty of the area remains. Dukang is a small village, and you can interact with the locals and learn about their way of life.

Day 11: Melamchipul (800m)

After breakfast in Dhap, you will continue your trek to Melamchipul. The trail goes downhill passing through beautiful forests, terraced fields, and traditional Tamang villages. The walk will take around 5-6 hours, and you will arrive in Melamchipul Bazaar, a small town located on the banks of the Melamchi River. You can explore the local market and interact with the locals to learn about their culture and lifestyle. Overnight stay in a tea house in Melamchipul.

Day 12: Kathmandu (1350m)

After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu, which will take around 3-4 hours. Upon arrival, you can rest and relax in your hotel or explore the city on your own. You can visit some of the famous landmarks of Kathmandu such as Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, or stroll around the busy streets of Thamel. In the evening, you can enjoy a farewell dinner with your trekking team to celebrate the successful completion of the trek. Overnight stay in a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 13: Departure day

Your journey to the Langtang Valley comes to an end today. You will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. If you have some time before your flight, you can do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs or explore the city on your own.
