Apart from taking trekkers into the hearts of the Khumbu region and into the base camp of the mighty Everest, the Everest Three Pass Trek is a tough adventure that takes us through the Three High passes of the Everest region. Considered as one of the most challenging and the best trek across Nepal this trek takes us through the challenging passes of Kongma La (5535m), Cho La (5380m) and Renjo La (5338m).

The Everest Three pass trek with Alpine Paradise starts with a beautiful flight to Lukla and completes with a tour around depths of the mystical Khumbu region. The best season for the Everest Three Pass Trek is generally considered to be from March to May and from September to November. During these months, the weather is usually dry and the skies are clear, providing excellent views of the surrounding mountains. The temperatures are also relatively mild, making it a comfortable time to trek.

Arrival in Kathmandu Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative from Alpine Paradise Treks. The representative will then take you to your hotel in Kathmandu by private vehicle. You will have the rest of the day to relax and explore the city on your own.

Flight to Lukla and Trek to Phakding Early in the morning, you will take a scenic flight to Lukla, which is situated at an altitude of 2,820 meters. Upon arrival at Lukla, you will begin your trek to Phakding, which is located at an altitude of 2,640 meters. The trek will take around 4-5 hours and you will stay overnight at a lodge in Phakding.

Trek to Namche Bazaar After breakfast, you will continue your trek to Namche Bazaar, which is located at an altitude of 3,440 meters. The trek will take around 6 hours, and you will pass through beautiful villages and stunning landscapes. Namche Bazaar is a popular trading hub in the region, and you will have the chance to explore the town and its markets. You will stay overnight at a lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Acclimatization day Today is an acclimatization day, and you will have the option to either visit the Everest View Hotel or explore the Khumjung/Khunde valley. You can also visit the National Park Museum, which is located in Namche Bazaar. This day is important to help your body adjust to the high altitude. You will stay overnight at the same lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Trek to Tengboche After breakfast, you will trek to Tengboche, which is located at an altitude of 3,860 meters. The trek will take around 6 hours, and you will pass through beautiful rhododendron forests and small villages. Tengboche is famous for its monastery, which is the largest in the region. You will stay overnight at a lodge in Tengboche.

Trek to Dingboche After breakfast, you will continue your trek to Dingboche, which is located at an altitude of 4,410 meters. The trek will take around 7 hours, and you will pass through beautiful landscapes and stunning mountain views. You will stay overnight at a lodge in Dingboche.

Acclimatization day Today is another acclimatization day, and you will have the option to take a short excursion and climb up Narsyang top, which is located at an altitude of 4,967 meters. This will help your body adjust to the high altitude, and you will stay overnight at the same lodge in Dingboche.

Trek to Chhukung After breakfast, you will trek to Chhukung, which is located at an altitude of 4,730 meters. The trek will take around 5 hours, and you will pass through stunning mountain views and landscapes. You will stay overnight at a lodge in Chhukung.

Trek to Lobuche via Kongma La Pass Today is a challenging day as you will be climbing the Kongma La Pass, which is located at an altitude of 5,535 meters. You will then trek to Lobuche, which is located at an altitude of 4,970 meters. The trek will take around 8-9 hours, and you will stay overnight at a lodge in Lobuche.

After breakfast, you will trek for about 3 hours to Gorak Shep (5165m), which is the last settlement before reaching Everest Base Camp. After lunch, you will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest. The trek to the base camp and back takes about 5 hours. The base camp, located at an altitude of 5380m, offers stunning views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding mountains. You will stay overnight at a lodge in Gorak Shep.

Today, you will wake up early and climb to the summit of Kalapatthar (5545m) to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Mount Everest and other peaks of the Himalayan range. The ascent takes about two hours, and the descent takes an hour. After breakfast, you will trek for about 4 hours to Dzongla (4830m) and stay overnight at a lodge.

Today, you will wake up early and cross the challenging Cho La Pass (5330m), which takes about 3 hours. After crossing the pass, you will trek for about 8 hours to reach Thangna (4700m), where you will stay overnight at a lodge.

After breakfast, you will trek for about 3 hours to Gokyo (4760m), a beautiful valley with stunning views of the Gokyo Lake and Glacier. After lunch, you can explore the surrounding area and take in the breathtaking views. You will stay overnight at a lodge in Gokyo.

Today, you will wake up early and climb to the summit of Gokyo Ri (5480m) to witness the stunning views of the Himalayan range. The ascent takes about two and a half hours, and the descent takes an hour. You will stay overnight at the same lodge in Gokyo.

Today, you will wake up early and cross the Renjo La Pass (5340m), which takes about 4 hours. After crossing the pass, you will trek for about 7-8 hours to reach Marulung (4300m), where you will stay overnight at a lodge.

After breakfast, you will trek for about 4 hours to Thame (3820m), a beautiful village that provides a glimpse into the traditional Sherpa way of life. You will explore the Thame valley and stay overnight at a lodge.

Today is the last day of trekking. After breakfast, you will trek for about 7 hours to reach Phakding (2620m), where you will stay overnight at a lodge.

Today, you will trek for about 4-5 hours to Lukla (2820m), where you will stay overnight at a lodge.

Early in the morning, you will take a 35-minute scenic flight back to Kathmandu, where you will be transferred to your hotel by a representative of Alpine Paradise Treks. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the vibrant city of Kathmandu.

A representative of Alpine Paradise Treks will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport by private vehicle, marking the end of the trek.

  • We have daily departures for this trip from March to May and from mid-September to mid-December. You can type in the number of passengers to book a reservation and select a date that is convenient for you. Due to group size, we never cancel a trip once you’ve made a reservation. If you would rather join the group, we will add more travelers on the selected date. You can let us know once you make a reservation or earlier.
