This relatively easy trek invigorates through rhododendron forests and beautiful ethnic villages into the Annapurna region. The major attraction if this wonderful experience is the Poon Hill. Poon Hill offers the chance to witness the views of the sun rising and shining its warmth over the snowy white tops of mountain peaks. The all-around views of almost all peaks of the Annapurna region are surely a sight to behold and remember for a long-long time to come. The trek starts with Nayapul and passes through Tikhedhunga, Ulleri, and Ghorepani. After witnessing the views from atop the Poon Hill, you return back to Ghandruk and back to Pokhara.

Best Season:

The best season to trek, the ideal time is during the autumn season, from September to November, or during the spring season, from March to May. During these months, the weather is usually dry and stable, and the skies are clear, providing excellent views of the surrounding mountains.

Day to Day Itinerary

It is the first day of the itinerary. The traveler will be welcomed at the airport by a representative from the tour company and then transferred to their hotel. They can rest and relax or explore the city on their own, depending on their arrival time.

It is the second day of the itinerary. The traveler will have a chance to explore the cultural and historical landmarks in the Kathmandu valley, including temples, monuments, and stupas. Some of the popular places to visit are Swayambhunath (also known as the Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

It is the third day of the itinerary. The traveler will take a scenic drive to Pokhara, a beautiful city located in western Nepal. They will have an opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and countryside during the journey. Upon arrival in Pokhara, they will check into their hotel and have some free time to explore the city.

It is the fourth day of the itinerary. After a short drive to Birethanti, the trek to Ulleri begins. The trek will take the traveler through beautiful terraced fields and small villages with stunning views of the Himalayas. Ulleri is a small village located on a hilltop and is a popular stop for trekkers on the Annapurna Circuit.

It is the fifth day of the itinerary. The trek continues from Ulleri to Ghorepani, a beautiful hilltop village known for its stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range. The trek is moderate and will take the traveler through forests of rhododendron and oak trees. Upon arrival in Ghorepani, they can enjoy the scenic views and relax.

It is the sixth day of the itinerary. The traveler will visit Poon Hill, a popular viewpoint, to admire the sunrise over the mountains. After that, they will trek to Tadapani, another scenic hilltop village. The trek will take the traveler through forests of rhododendron and oak trees with stunning views of the mountains.

It is the seventh day of the itinerary. The traveler will continue their trek from Tadapani to Ghaundruk, a traditional Gurung village located in the Annapurna region. The trek will take them through forests and small villages with beautiful views of the mountains and valleys.

It is the eighth day of the itinerary. The traveler will continue their trek from Ghaundruk to Jhinu Danda, a hot spring located in the foothills of the Annapurna mountains. The trek will take them through terraced fields and small villages with stunning views of the mountains and valleys.

After spending a night in Jhinu Danda and enjoying the hot springs, the traveler will trek back to Pokhara, the starting point of their trek. The journey will take around 4 hours and they will stop briefly in Birethanti, a small village located on the way. Birethanti is a popular stopover for trekkers as it is the gateway to the Annapurna Conservation Area and the starting point of many popular treks in the region. Here, the traveler can take a break and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area before continuing on to Pokhara.

On this day, the traveler will take a private vehicle from Pokhara to Kathmandu. The drive will take around 4 to 5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. The road winds through scenic countryside and offers stunning views of the Himalayan range, including the famous Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, the traveler can take the rest of the day to relax or do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs.

This is the final day of the itinerary, where the traveler will be transferred to the international airport in Kathmandu for their flight back home. Depending on the flight time, the traveler may have some time to do some final sightseeing or shopping in Kathmandu before departing. It is recommended to reach the airport at least 2 to 3 hours before the scheduled flight departure time to complete all formalities and check-in procedures.

  • We have daily departures for this trip from March to May and from mid-September to mid-December. You can type in the number of passengers to book a reservation and select a date that is convenient for you. Due to group size, we never cancel a trip once you’ve made a reservation. If you would rather join the group, we will add more travelers on the selected date. You can let us know once you make a reservation or earlier.
