If adventure is something you are craving for then a trek to Mount Lobuche east should be one of your choices. Mount Lobuche which stands tall at the height of 6,145 meters is one of the attractions these days.
It lies around Khumbu Glacier, Nepal. Even though conquering Lobuche is very challenging and tough, it is worth it. The mesmerizing views of world’s highest peak, Mt Everest along with those of Lhotse, Pumori and Ama Dablam are something you would be blessed with.
Mt. Lobuche has basically two main peaks namely, Lobuche Far East and Lobuche East. The Lobuche trek would be at least of 19 days. However, the number of days depends on where you decide to stay and schedule of your trek.

Best Season:
The best season for a Lobuche Peak climbing is generally in the autumn months of September to November. During this time, the weather is typically clear and stable, with lower chances of rainfall and snowfall, which makes for better climbing conditions.
Permit & Regulations:
- Sagarmatha National Park Permit: This permit is required for all visitors to the Sagarmatha National Park, which includes Lobuche Peak, and costs around USD 30 per person. It can be obtained from the Nepal Tourism Board or from the Nepal Immigration Office in Kathmandu.
- Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) Climbing Permit: This permit is also required for all mountaineering expeditions in Nepal, including Lobuche Peak. The fee for the NMA climbing permit for Lobuche Peak is based on the number of climbers in the group and ranges from USD 250 for a solo climber to USD 125 per person for a group of 7 climbers or more.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1334m, transfer to hotel, Lobuche peak climbing / Lobuche peak expedition briefing with officially arrangement. Overnight in Kathmandu.
On your first day in Nepal, you will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After you check-in and freshen up, you will attend a briefing session where our team will provide you with all the necessary information about the Lobuche peak climbing/expedition. During this time, you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: After breakfast, free/leisure time in Kathmandu for shopping/excursion around Kathmandu valley and preparation for Lobuche peak climbing. Overnight at Kathmandu.
This day is free for you to explore the vibrant city of Kathmandu. You can visit different tourist attractions, go shopping for souvenirs, or simply relax at your hotel. You will also have time to prepare for the Lobuche peak climbing expedition, and our team will provide any necessary equipment or assistance. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2800m), fly approximately 35 minutes, and trek to Phakding (2640m). Walk approximately 2-3 hours.
After breakfast, you will fly to Lukla, which is a small town in the Khumbu region. The flight itself is an adventure, offering stunning views of the Himalayas. From Lukla, you will start your trek to Phakding, which is a relatively easy walk through beautiful forests and alongside the Dudh Koshi River. You will spend the night in Phakding.
Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446m). Walk approximately 5-6 hours.
Today’s trek will take you to Namche Bazaar, which is the largest town in the Khumbu region. You will cross several suspension bridges and ascend steep trails while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Namche Bazaar is a bustling town that offers a range of amenities, including restaurants, cafes, and shops. You will spend the night in Namche Bazaar.
Day 05: Namche Bazaar Rest or acclimatization day.
During this day, you can hike to Thame Monastery or Everest view hotel for superb Himalayan views including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Kusum khangaru, Khumbila, Tawache peak, Cholaste, Kongde, etc. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Today is a rest day to help your body acclimatize to the altitude. You can spend the day exploring Namche Bazaar, or you can take a hike to Thame Monastery or Everest View Hotel for breathtaking views of the Himalayas. You will spend the night in Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar trek to Tengboche Monastery (3867m). Walk approximately 5-6 hours.
After breakfast, you will begin your trek to Tengboche Monastery, which is one of the most famous monasteries in the region. Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of the mountains and pass through small villages and forests. You will spend the night in Tengboche.
Day 07: Tengboche Trek to Dingboche (4347m)
After breakfast, we begin our trek to Dingboche, which will take around 5-6 hours. The trail passes through beautiful forests and crosses several rivers along the way. We will also pass through Pangboche village, which is known for its oldest monastery in the Khumbu region. The trail then climbs up to Dingboche, a beautiful village with stunning views of Ama Dablam and Lhotse. We will spend the night in a teahouse in Dingboche.
Day 08: Dingboche Trek to Lobuche (4900m)
We continue our trek to Lobuche after breakfast, which will take around 5-6 hours. The trail passes through a beautiful valley with stunning views of the mountains. We will also pass through Duglha, a small village with a memorial dedicated to the climbers who lost their lives while attempting to climb Mount Everest. The trail then climbs up to Lobuche, where we will spend the night in a teahouse.
Day 09: Lobuche Trek to Gorakshep (5180m) and Everest Base Camp (5364m)
After breakfast, we trek to Gorakshep, which will take around 2-3 hours. Gorakshep is the last village on the way to Everest Base Camp. After a short break, we continue our trek to Everest Base Camp, which will take around 5-6 hours. The trail passes through the Khumbu Glacier and offers stunning views of the mountains. Once we reach Everest Base Camp, we can take pictures and enjoy the beautiful scenery before heading back to Gorakshep for the night.
Day 10: Hike to Kala Patthar (5545m) and Trek to Lobuche High Camp (5357m)
Early in the morning, we hike up to Kala Patthar, which will take around 2-3 hours. Kala Patthar is one of the best viewpoints in the Khumbu region, offering stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and other surrounding peaks. After spending some time at Kala Patthar, we trek back to Gorakshep and continue our trek to Lobuche High Camp, which will take around 3-4 hours. Our climbing guide will teach us how to fix the rope and climb, and we will spend the night in a tent at Lobuche High Camp.
Day 11: Lobuche Peak Summit (6119m) and Back to Lobuche Peak Base Camp
Early in the morning, we will begin our climb to the summit of Lobuche Peak, which will take around 6-7 hours. The climb is challenging and requires the use of fixed ropes and crampons. However, the stunning views from the summit make it all worth it. After spending some time at the summit, we will descend back to Lobuche Peak Base Camp and spend the night in a tent.
Day 12: Reserve Day for Lobuche Peak Summit
In case of bad weather, we will use this day to re-summit Lobuche Peak. Otherwise, we will trek back to Island Peak Base Camp and then to Pheriche, which will take around 6-7 hours. We will spend the night in a teahouse in Pheriche.
Day 13: Pheriche trek to Phortse village (3890m) walk approximately 5-6 hours.
Today, we will trek back to Phortse village, which is a beautiful Sherpa village located in the Khumbu region. Along the way, we will be able to enjoy the stunning mountain views of the Khumbu region, including Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kangtega. Overnight in Phortse village.
Day 14: Phortse village trek to Namche bazaar walk approximately 5-6 hours.
We will trek back to Namche Bazaar, which will be our last stop in the Khumbu region. We will enjoy the beautiful scenery and the vibrant Sherpa culture along the way. We will spend the night in Namche Bazaar.
Day 15: Namche bazaar trek to Lukla. Walk approximately 6-7 hours.
Today is the last day of our trekking journey. We will trek back to Lukla, which will be our final destination. We will enjoy the beautiful scenery and the Sherpa culture for the last time on this trip. Overnight in Lukla.
Day 16: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel.
We will take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. After we reach Kathmandu, we will transfer to our hotel. You can relax and freshen up or explore the city on your own. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 17: Kathmandu sightseeing and farewell dinner.
Today, we will go on a guided sightseeing tour of the city. We will visit some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, including the Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant to celebrate the completion of our journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 18: Departure day.
Today, our representative will drop you off at the international airport for your onward journey. You can depart as per your scheduled flight time. We hope you had a wonderful time in Nepal and will cherish the memories of this trip for a long time.
