Best Season:
The best season for a Mt. Yala Peak Climbing is generally in the autumn months of September to November. During this time, the weather is typically clear and stable, with lower chances of rainfall and snowfall, which makes for better climbing conditions.
Permit & Regulations:
- Langtang National Park Permit: This permit is required for all visitors to the Langtang region, which includes Mt. Yala, and costs around USD 30 per person. It can be obtained from the Nepal Tourism Board or from the Nepal Immigration Office in Kathmandu.
- Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) Climbing Permit: This permit is also required for all mountaineering expeditions in Nepal, including Mt. Yala. The fee for the NMA climbing permit for Mt. Yala is based on the number of climbers in the group and ranges from USD 250 for a solo climber to USD 125 per person for a group of 7 climbers or more.
